Encino Track Racing

Recently, Predator Cycling sponsored a track race at the Encino Velodrome. Thanks to everyone who came out, it was a great time!

Prior to the event, a few of the guys and I had been talking about mounting a few cameras to our bikes to see if we could capture the essence of track racing.  Tim ended up racing with cameras mounted front and rear, while I ran one in front. Before you’re too critical of the footage, just remember that this was our first time recording a track race! Even so I think it turned out pretty well.

The first part of the video was taken during Tim’s first Keirin heat race, then a section from the Keirin finals, the points race and the Belgian Win-and Out.

We did our best to set up Tim for the win, but it just wasn’t to be. Check out the video, it gives you a pretty good idea of what a points race looks like from inside the pack.

About Aram

Aram Goganian, inventor of the counter clockwise flushing toilet and brainchild of Predator Cycling, ok not really that first one, but Aram did start racing track bikes at 13, and designing and building his first time trial bike at 15. From there legend has it, the entire Predator brand was born of this obsession of going faster on the bike. He then spent the next few years gathering knowledge in various fields, including mechanics, aeronautical engineering, industrial design, and by age 18 he was a consult for various companies we cannot legally disclose here. In 2005 Predator had its official launch. Since then Aram’s mantra has been “think lighter, think stronger, think faster, think Aram”.
