Yes this is expensive but it's much more expensive to have it done professionally. I had a small crack in my seat stay. This was easy to use and the repair seems very solid. The videos helped a lot. I only have about 100 miles on it since the repair but at this point feel very confident in the quality.
Twenty dollars worth of materials for $100.
On top of that, the first acid brush disintegrated as I was stirring the epoxy and hardener. The heat shrink tape did not shrink. No indication of the working time of the epoxy mixture was given, causing me to rush the procedure unnecessarily.
I would not purchase this product again.
I cracked a seat stay on a new Canyon hardtail mountain bike. I thought I was going to have to buy a new frame, but a friend convinced me to try the carbon repair kit and I'm glad I did! Easy to follow instructions and video. 8 months later, I'm still riding the bike hard - no issues at all.
