Pro Track Racer Guy East Prefers "The Major." Predator Cycling Approves!

Super star and overall nice guy Guy East sat down with Predator Cycling to talk about his custom handle bar system, "The Major" as well as his colorful race colors. Guy, a U.S. pro track racer and 6-day racer is one of our favorite customers. Beyond Guy's amazing talents on the bike, he also gets his custom bars painted via Stoemper to match his frames. His most recent update is quite the glow-in-the-dark feat!

Predator: Guy, we love that you rock our Majors. How do they work for you and what do you love about them?

Guy: I love the name. I love the look. I love the feel. Predator Majors are the nicest bars on the market in my opinion. They catch the attention of all the Europeans and certainly are the hottest bars on the 6-day circuit. The majors keep the front of the bike stiff while sprinting around the track at 40mph next to the 6-day stars. I’ve enjoyed used the majors and can’t imagine riding anything else on the track.

Predator: What would you say to those racers missing out on a carbon bar/stem combo like The Major?

Guy: Get majors! You won’t regret it.

Predator: What do you see and what would you like to see for Guy East’s future with Predator Cycling?

Guy: Aside from continuing in the 6-days I’m working on a new Mexican/American Pro road team. The team would be registered in Mexico and we’d compete in Central and South America. There are so many wonderful races in South America and I’d like to form a team capable of doing well. I want the team to be half American, half Mexican so the Americans can learn the Latin culture and the Mexicans can learn the American culture and racing. I also want it to be a career development path for the guys so they can succeed outside of sport when their careers finish. Long story short, I hope our guys will be on Predator bars next season. With our Majors you won’t be able to miss us!   

Guy also is involved with More Than Sport, an athletic organization that gives back to local communities and collaborates with professional athletes, charities, and corporations. More Than Sport uses athletics to reach out to children and local neighborhoods in order to educate and promote sports as a way to expound upon personal goals and recreational activities.
