Episode 013: One RAD Halloween Podcast with Hollywood Mike Miranda

Hello all of you ghosts and ghouls! First off, Happy Halloween. We here at the shop are celebrating in style with a costume contest between all of of us. We invited BMX great Hollywood Mike Miranda to our shop to discuss bikes, movies, Cannondale, and more. You might know Mike as one of the many stunt racers featured in 1986's Best Movie of the Year, RAD. RAD follows the story of a local kid who has dreams to make it into the BMX big leagues. Luckily, the hottest BMX race is scheduled to take place right there in his home town. How convenient! The youngster newbie faces tough qualifying races, a wily brotherhood aimed to take him down, sponsorship downfalls, Hell Track, a disgruntled mother, and a multi-talented bike dancing angel (Lauri Laughlin from Full House). You can see Mike highlighted in the final race sequence in which he recovers from two gnarly crashes. But you can't keep Hollywood Mike Miranda down and he ends up with a podium finish in the finals.
